Teaching Role at Milele Chikasa Anana Elementary School
From January 2023 to June 2023, I served as a Teacher at Milele Chikasa Anana Elementary School in Madison, Wisconsin.
I led the Scratch Club, introducing K-12 elementary school students to programming concepts through interactive projects.
Key activities included:
- Teaching programming basics using Scratch.
- Guiding students to design their own animations and games.
- Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Making computing accessible and fun for young learners.
Reflection
This teaching experience was deeply rewarding, as it gave me the opportunity to support children’s first steps into computing. Helping students transform their ideas into working Scratch projects strengthened my own skills in pedagogy, patience, and communication.
